My name is Elyse DeJohnette, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Heal and Renew Counseling Center.

I founded Heal and Renew Counseling Center with the belief that healing occurs in spaces that are safe, ethical, and grounded in compassion. My work is rooted in trauma-informed, evidence-based care that honors each client’s lived experience while supporting meaningful and sustainable change. I am committed to providing high-quality mental health services to individuals, couples, and families navigating emotional distress, relational challenges, and life transitions.

As a clinician, I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship conflict, stress, and the effects of trauma. My therapeutic approach emphasizes emotional safety, collaboration, and empowerment, helping clients strengthen insight, improve communication, and develop effective coping strategies. I am especially passionate about relational work and supporting couples and families in rebuilding trust, improving connection, and fostering healthier patterns of interaction.

In addition to direct clinical care, I bring extensive experience in clinical leadership, program development, supervision, and compliance oversight. This background informs my commitment to ethical practice, clinical excellence, and adherence to professional standards set forth by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) and applicable state and federal regulations. Heal and Renew Counseling Center operates with a strong emphasis on informed consent, client rights, confidentiality, and culturally responsive care.

My mission is to create a therapeutic environment where clients feel respected, supported, and empowered to heal and renew their lives. At Heal and Renew Counseling Center, care is delivered with integrity, professionalism, and a deep respect for the complexity of human relationships.
